Arkın Taşboğa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Abelardo Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Emiel Pinksteren sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel de Godoi in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arkın Taşboğa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but Arkın Taşboğa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arkın Taşboğa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Abel de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Abel de Godoi put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Arkın Taşboğa.
