Maricá FC's Thomás Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levent Erkinay in the 2nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Seco in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomás Proença saved Maricá FC from getting behind. 5 minutes into the game, Paulo Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Thomás Proença was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Paulo Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomás Proença was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 14 minutes of play, Flatline Zombies's Paulo Seco made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomás Proença was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Paulo Seco sped through Maricá FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thomás Proença. Flatline Zombies were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Maricá FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Finn Neeser took the corner. After taking down the ball on Flatline Zombies's corner Finn Neeser fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thomás Proença quite easily take care of the ball. Thomás Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finn Neeser in the 28th minute of play. Thomás Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Seco in the 33rd minute of the match. Flatline Zombies's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Finn Neeser in the 34th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in George Oprița heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 39th minute Paulo Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Paulo Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomás Proença was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Seco in the 42nd minute of play forced Maricá FC's goalkeeper Thomás Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Levent Erkinay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Proença having to interfere. If Levent Erkinay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47thth minute of the game Levent Erkinay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maricá FC's Thomás Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Flatline Zombies's Enrique Freitag was substituted for Levent Erkinay. With his leg Thomás Proença managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Flatline Zombies's Paulo Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thomás Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Seco in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Maricá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Seco came free, but Thomás Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Paulo Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flatline Zombies's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomás Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rdth minute of the game Paulo Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maricá FC's Thomás Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Maricá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Seco came free, but Thomás Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Freitag got free with Thomás Proença in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Flatline Zombies's Enrique Freitag got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Seco had several of the Maricá FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Thomás Proença as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience was convinced that Paulo Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomás Proença was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Seco in the 81st minute of play forced Maricá FC's goalkeeper Thomás Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. At last the ball reached Axel Della Rossa at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Maricá FC. 0-6. With an all-out effort, Flatline Zombies's Thomás Proença threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulo Seco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
