Thomás Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Custódio in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Abaurre in the 9th minute of play forced Maricá FC's goalkeeper Thomás Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maricá FC's Thomás Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Maricá FC from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Joaquim Custódio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomás Proença was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Thomás Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomás Proença made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Aristide Lelescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Conrado Dalmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás Proença was a little too slow when Conrado Dalmai got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 31st minute, Joaquim Custódio made a precise shot to the right of Thomás Proença. Maricá FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Emiliano Pezzi took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Justino Porfiro. Justino Porfiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 38 minutes into the game, ZARA GOZA 2.0's Joaquim Custódio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomás Proença made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. A collision led to Maricá FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Clóvis Prado hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes, ZARA GOZA 2.0's Benigno Estefan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thomás Proença came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ZARA GOZA 2.0 reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st match minute, Maricá FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cutberto Clemente to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Maricá FC booed when ZARA GOZA 2.0 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Dalmai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, ZARA GOZA 2.0's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Pezzi came free, but Justino Porfiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joaquim Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clóvis Prado's late challenge caught a ZARA GOZA 2.0's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clóvis Prado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Clóvis Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomás Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Abaurre in the 69th minute of play. Honorio Abaurre took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomás Proença. Thomás Proença dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. In the 73rd minute Joaquim Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ZARA GOZA 2.0 booed when Maricá FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Maricá FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Tomás Peres hit a great ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Joaquim Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZARA GOZA 2.0's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Custódio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorino Belo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Proença having to interfere. ZARA GOZA 2.0 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
