In the 16th minute Leif Hedman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Kolsva FK's Leif Hedman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gianluigi Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Sociedad Anónima's Niva Bruna got a free kick in the 19th minute. Sociedad Anónima's Gianluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Grelsson in the 20th minute of play. Marino Malet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niclas Vennerdal having to interfere. Velasco Rollan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Niclas Vennerdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leif Hedman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolsva FK's goalkeeper Niclas Vennerdal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Niclas Vennerdal managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Sociedad Anónima's Marino Malet fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Leif Hedman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolsva FK's goalkeeper Niclas Vennerdal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sociedad Anónima's Gianluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Hedman in the 37th minute of play. Jack Bengtsson scored 1-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gianluigi Buffon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute Velasco Rollan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Vennerdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Sociedad Anónima's Niva Bruna to fire away a dangerous shot which Niclas Vennerdal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 47th minute Leif Hedman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leif Hedman made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Alfredo Massimini could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Gianluigi Buffon however easily saved by the left post. Leif Hedman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gianluigi Buffon having to make a save. Velasco Rollan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Niclas Vennerdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niclas Vennerdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velasco Rollan in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velasco Rollan in the 78th minute of play forced Kolsva FK's goalkeeper Niclas Vennerdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niclas Vennerdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velasco Rollan in the 81st minute of play. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kolsva FK! Kolsva FK's Niclas Vennerdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velasco Rollan in the 87th minute of play. Sociedad Anónima's Cordaryal Valdecañas was substituted for Ramos Trasmiera. 91 minutes into the game, Folke Grelsson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sociedad Anónima's Niva Bruna quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 92 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niclas Vennerdal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sociedad Anónima fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kolsva FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
