Remigiusz Paciuszko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Kismi, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute Benson Beverley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Kugler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mestre GG defense, Ramon Kismi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remigiusz Paciuszko. The Mestre GG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remigiusz Paciuszko should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind GTV Ostsee's goalkeeper Karl Kugler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Benson Beverley notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of GTV Ostsee's Karl Kugler. Karl Kugler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karl Kugler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiktor Dabrowski in the 20th minute of the match. Benson Beverley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Kugler having to interfere. Karl Kugler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mestre GG were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after GTV Ostsee's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sílvio Luiz Severo took the corner. Benson Beverley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 42 minutes of play, Mestre GG's Jorginho Garcia made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl Kugler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hugo Emmel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Remigiusz Paciuszko made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Emmel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in GTV Ostsee's zone, Benson Beverley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Kugler came out of the goal and Benson Beverley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remigiusz Paciuszko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Håning in the 55th minute of play. GTV Ostsee were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Mestre GG's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ramon Kismi took the corner. GTV Ostsee's Ramon Kismi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Remigiusz Paciuszko in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Karl Kugler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boguslaw Makarewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Sílvio Luiz Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Emmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Emmel in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigiusz Paciuszko saved Mestre GG from getting behind. Karl Kugler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boguslaw Makarewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Remigiusz Paciuszko came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by GTV Ostsee's Ramon Kismi. But to his dismay, Ramon Kismi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. GTV Ostsee made a substitution. Gunter Bruhn replaced Albrecht Bohnacker. GTV Ostsee's Lee Staratschek was substituted for Júlio Martins. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mestre GG players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
