Folke Bollström was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Stjärnblomster's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Guillermo Escalona managed to get in a good position for a shot. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Escalona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Håkan Hermansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillermo Escalona scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Håkan Hermansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Stjärnblomster defense, Humberto Escobar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Håkan Hermansson. The Stjärnblomster fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Håkan Hermansson should have stopped the shot. After having played for 23 minutes, Guillermo Escalona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Escalona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Håkan Hermansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Escobar's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Gilbert Lindmark charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilbert Lindmark the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martín Ulloa scored 0-4 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Håkan Hermansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Guillermo Escalona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Håkan Hermansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Håkan Hermansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Håkan Hermansson came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Guillermo Escalona. But to his dismay, Guillermo Escalona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. The audience was convinced that Humberto Escobar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Håkan Hermansson was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Stjärnblomster's Mikael Billström was substituted for Olle Sandström. Stjärnblomster's Kenny Blom was substituted for Ingvar Isaksson. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

54 minutes into the match, Stjärnblomster's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Escalona came free, but Håkan Hermansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Humberto Escobar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Håkan Hermansson, 0-8. In the 61st minute Guillermo Escalona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Martín Ulloa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Håkan Hermansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. In the 71st play minute Nelsinho Nóbrega came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Håkan Hermansson. 0-11. After 75 minutes of play, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Humberto Escobar made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Håkan Hermansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nelsinho Nóbrega charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelsinho Nóbrega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nelsinho Nóbrega hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Martín Ulloa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Håkan Hermansson. That made the score 0-13 in the 81 minute of play. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Martín Ulloa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 90th minute, Guillermo Escalona reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Håkan Hermansson. The goal made the score 0-15. 93 minutes into the game, Guillermo Escalona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Håkan Hermansson. Guillermo Escalona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-16. 98 minutes into the match, Stjärnblomster's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Escalona came free, but Håkan Hermansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
