Morro Grande E.C's Fernando Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denny Commons in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Yakut Vecihi notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Morro Grande E.C's Fernando Veloso. Fernando Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the game, Abbotsford FC's Su Xing Jie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Denny Commons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 26 minutes into the match, Zhou Zhen Zhen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Veloso. Morro Grande E.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhou Zhen Zhen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 29 minutes into the match, Yakut Vecihi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Veloso. The Abbotsford FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Abbotsford FC's Zhou Zhen Zhen got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Abbotsford FC were leading 0-11. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 53 minutes of play, Abbotsford FC's Yakut Vecihi made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Fernando Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zhou Zhen Zhen. When Abbotsford FC's Yakut Vecihi in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Morro Grande E.C's goalie prevented a goal. Fernando Veloso stood somewhat misplaced when Yakut Vecihi came free in front of goal and shot 0-13 to the left of him in the 59 minute. 62 minutes into the game, Su Xing Jie recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernando Veloso. Su Xing Jie showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-14. In the 66th minute Zhou Zhen Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 minutes, Yakut Vecihi made it 0-15 with a short kick to the right side. Morro Grande E.C's Fernando Veloso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st play minute Pierre Haeberle came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fernando Veloso. 0-16. Abbotsford FC's Zhou Zhen Zhen got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Yakut Vecihi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 minutes of play, Abbotsford FC's Yakut Vecihi made it 0-17 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernando Veloso made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Denny Commons sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yakut Vecihi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Wilian de Almeida hit a great ball. Fernando Veloso was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Su Xing Jie capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Su Xing Jie really showed his touch with that goal: 0-19. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Fernando Veloso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Zhou Zhen Zhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yakut Vecihi came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fernando Veloso could save by the left post. Morro Grande E.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Yakut Vecihi scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Veloso, making the score, 0-20. Abbotsford FC played a much better game than Morro Grande E.C and deserved their victory. The Morro Grande E.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
