Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sultan-Mehmet De Paula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthon Mellbad in the 12th minute of play forced Conjunto Paisa's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilbert Cieliczka was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Matxin Maliaño capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Matxin Maliaño really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Gilbert Cieliczka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wei Yu Zheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Matxin Maliaño could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Gilbert Cieliczka however easily saved by the left post. Conjunto Paisa's Kurt Björling got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Tancredo in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matxin Maliaño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Pancha Futbol Club's Fan Qi Bin got a free kick in the 54th minute. Gilbert Cieliczka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Angel, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Anthon Mellbad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
