Simon Bäckman kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Alcino Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's Simão Boaventura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingvar Svensson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Loukianos Livass short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Ingvar Svensson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ingvar Svensson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 17th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Luís Falcão. A collision led to The Charlatans getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Evert Johansson hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Alcino Jesus reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ingvar Svensson. The goal made the score 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Åberg came free, but Armindo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingvar Svensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukianos Livas in the 25th minute of the match. Simon Bäckman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Armindo Maltez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Boaventura took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingvar Svensson. Ingvar Svensson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ingvar Svensson was a little too slow when Loukianos Livas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 3-0. Ingvar Svensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loukianos Livas, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, The Charlatans's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Boaventura came free, but Ingvar Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Simon Bäckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Loukianos Livas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregório Jesus to maneuver through the defense. Loukianos Livas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Armindo Maltez managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when The Charlatans's Nils-Åke Nilsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 70th minute, Loukianos Livas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Charlatans's Ingvar Svensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loukianos Livas in the 77th minute of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Loukianos Livas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Charlatans's Ingvar Svensson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ingvar Svensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loukianos Livas in the 81st minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper Armindo Maltez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Bäckman. Ingvar Svensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukianos Livas in the 87th minute of the match. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Ponte do Carro from getting a goal against them. Evert Johansson hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ponte do Carro's Ricardo Peixoto was substituted for Gregório Jesus. Ponte do Carro made a substitution. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Elliot Åberg sped through Ponte do Carro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armindo Maltez. The Charlatans's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ponte do Carro had won, even though The Charlatans had held more of the ball.
