Arden Poulin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Gocmar FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Harkaitz came free, but Arif Bilge Kınay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sefa Necdet during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sefa Necdet hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Arif Bilge Kınay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Léopold Castro in the 18th minute. Arif Bilge Kınay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Harkaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Burak Hallaçoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Gocmar FK's Arif Bilge Kınay got control of the ball when Dominic Delgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avery Merrill in the 38th minute of play forced Gocmar FK's goalkeeper Arif Bilge Kınay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gocmar FK's Arif Bilge Kınay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Gocmar FK from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd match minute, Persepolis F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wang Yi Kun to maneuver through the defense. Persepolis F.C.'s Santos Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özalp Ortanca in the 43rd minute of play. Arif Bilge Kınay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arden Poulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Léopold Castro made the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Gocmar FK's goal looked a bit too open when Arden Poulin came free, but Arif Bilge Kınay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arden Poulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Persepolis F.C.'s Andy Duff was substituted for Gwidon Seliga. The referee showed Arda İlican the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gocmar FK's Arda İlican got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Arif Bilge Kınay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léopold Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arda İlican hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Léopold Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Persepolis F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Léopold Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arif Bilge Kınay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Persepolis F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
