Zafer Yavuzhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho Paranaense having to interfere. Arturo Turner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luizinho Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gino Tonić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ildefonso Piarres in the 15th minute. Luizinho Paranaense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johan Neeskens went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute Ildefonso Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Tonić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizinho Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Vandamme, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, New Miran FC's Johan Neeskens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luizinho Paranaense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gino Tonić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cälal Elxanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute Cälal Elxanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Tonić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New Miran FC's Gino Tonić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save New Miran FC from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Juventus Telford's goalkeeper Luizinho Paranaense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute of the match New Miran FC got a corner. Juventus Telford's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Álvaro Duarte ran over to the corner to take the kick. 46 minutes into the match, New Miran FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boruc Spychalski came free, but Gino Tonić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ildefonso Piarres to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Kenneth Van Hoeijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Álvaro Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Luizinho Paranaense made a huge save. In the 53rd minute New Miran FC were awarded a corner. Álvaro Duarte went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to New Miran FC's Wiliam Ferraz getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Stuart Bayne struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gino Tonić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventus Telford. The audience was convinced that José Liamthaisong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gino Tonić was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 77th minute, New Miran FC's Arturo Turner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luizinho Paranaense. Luizinho Paranaense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 91st minute, Ildefonso Piarres made a precise shot to the right of Gino Tonić. New Miran FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 94th minute, Cälal Elxanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charlie Vandamme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The New Miran FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
