The Caatiba MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ergo Muro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edílson Souza in the 24th minute of play forced Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Ergo Muro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdomiro Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ergo Muro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mieszko Borkowski in the 26th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dobri Koks having to interfere. With a little luck, Fifth Chicken's Dobri Koks got control of the ball when Niceto Ihazintu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute, Delfim Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 40 minutes, Niceto Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caatiba MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Ihazintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Niceto Ihazintu made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Ergo Muro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mieszko Borkowski. Edílson Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ergo Muro made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Fifth Chicken's Cezary Bartochowski got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when Fifth Chicken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezary Bartochowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 67 in the game by Waldemar Tipinski from a close distance when the talented Ergo Muro managed to make a qualified save. Caatiba MZC's players were relieved. Ergo Muro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Tipinski in the 71st minute of play. Sten Granström hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Fifth Chicken made a substitution. The supporters of Fifth Chicken booed when Caatiba MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Garofalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Caatiba MZC from getting a goal against them. After 91 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Ihazintu. Niceto Ihazintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dobri Koks. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when Fifth Chicken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Granström didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fifth Chicken had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
