In the 5th minute Pirmin Jäggi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamiel Ingelborgh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute Emery Heller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamiel Ingelborgh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Baldaia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Lionel Paly made a huge save. A collision led to Ad Fundum getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kamiel Ingelborgh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Kamiel Ingelborgh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Constantin Budianu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for FC Wil 1900. Téo Rosa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kamiel Ingelborgh. 1-2. After the first half FC Wil 1900 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tory Pryor to strike the kick off in the second half. Ad Fundum's Kamiel Ingelborgh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tory Pryor in the 50th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordi Paschiers in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pirmin Jäggi scored 1-3 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kamiel Ingelborgh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lionel Paly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordi Paschiers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Ad Fundum were awarded a corner. Manfred Bruse went to the cornerflag to take it. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordi Paschiers in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Pirmin Jäggi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamiel Ingelborgh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierre-Paul Van Dijck charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre-Paul Van Dijck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th match minute, Ad Fundum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre-Paul Van Dijck to maneuver through the defense. When Jordi Paschiers came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Ad Fundum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordi Paschiers couldn't finish the play. Ad Fundum's Kamiel Ingelborgh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ad Fundum from getting a goal against them. Kamiel Ingelborgh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Dové in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Georges Gladu got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Ad Fundum's Kamiel Ingelborgh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tory Pryor in the 74th minute of play. When Tomás Baldaia came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Ad Fundum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Baldaia couldn't finish the play. Jordi Paschiers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Paly having to interfere.
