The supporters of Çanakkale booed when Boroondara Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zackery Tresise didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sedat Özender hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Paco Everett's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ferdi Kargin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Paco Everett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ferdi Kargin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdi Kargin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Everett in the 28th minute of play. Bath Boyce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Boniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Boroondara Milan fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Boroondara Milan's Paco Everett looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Boroondara Milan's Paco Everett slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ferdi Kargin. That made the score 2-1 after 39 minutes of play. Kris Pearse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdi Kargin having to make a save. After 47 played minutes Boroondara Milan got a freekick which was hit by Arty Shearn. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paco Everett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Çanakkale's Ferdi Kargin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paco Everett in the 51st minute of play. Kris Pearse hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Osman Ali Ayçetin hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Paco Everett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ferdi Kargin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Çanakkale defense, Paco Everett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdi Kargin. The Çanakkale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdi Kargin should have stopped the shot. Kris Pearse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Boroondara Milan getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Arty Shearn hit a great ball. After 76th play minutes Paco Everett shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Ferdi Kargin and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 80th match minute, Boroondara Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paco Everett to maneuver through the defense. Kris Pearse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdi Kargin having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Jason Sperling notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Çanakkale's Ferdi Kargin. Ferdi Kargin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Çanakkale's goalkeeper Ferdi Kargin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Cristian Boniel made a precise shot to the right of Bath Boyce. Boroondara Milan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Boniel in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Jason Sperling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boroondara Milan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2.
