The Uraricuera EC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Uraricuera EC's Pedro Munhoz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 23rd minute, Glauco Aparecido left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uraricuera EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Club de la Serpiente's Dé Santos got a free kick in the 26th minute. The supporters of Uraricuera EC booed when Club de la Serpiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guaberto Micael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Guaberto Micael came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Uraricuera EC's Glauco Aparecido. But to his dismay, Glauco Aparecido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Pedro Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Micael having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Club de la Serpiente's zone, Pedro Munhoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Micael came out of the goal and Pedro Munhoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guaberto Micael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Munhoz was the one to do the kick off.
