La Mazorca's Karol Kluczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Stenman in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Deportivo Turro's goalkeeper Germán Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Ubendu. In the 20th minute, Angel Abaurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Malcolm Stenman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karol Kluczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Malcolm Stenman made the kick off in the second half. When Angel Abaurre fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Mazorca's protests and gave Angel Abaurre a yellow card for diving instead. Malcolm Stenman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Karol Kluczyk made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Al Horford in the 54th minute of play forced La Mazorca's goalkeeper Karol Kluczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malcolm Stenman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karol Kluczyk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Amancio Ponc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germán Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogumil Burowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Malcolm Stenman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Turro's supporters rose to their feet, but Malcolm Stenman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karol Kluczyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deportivo Turro made a substitution. Pedrinho Moreira replaced Wilton Queirós. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see La Mazorca lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
