Valdemar Ginhart made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Nippur de Lagash 2's Sergio Dantae. Tito Chayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Oper in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Sergio Dantae was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nippur de Lagash 2's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strib Galacticos IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nippur de Lagash 2's Sergio Dantae got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Andres Oper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Strib Galacticos IF's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Cordarell came free, but Gunvald Glarkrog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernan Lehen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Oliviero in the 52nd minute of play forced Strib Galacticos IF's goalkeeper Gunvald Glarkrog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Casimiro Cordarell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunvald Glarkrog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute Nippur de Lagash 2 were awarded a corner. Israel Oliviero went to the cornerflag to take it. Nippur de Lagash 2's Israel Oliviero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gunvald Glarkrog in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 58 minutes into the match, Strib Galacticos IF's Andres Oper sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tito Chayo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the last second Tito Chayo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Andres Oper in the 62ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Strib Galacticos IF were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Nippur de Lagash 2's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Davide Ubriaco took the corner. After taking down the ball on Strib Galacticos IF's corner Davide Ubriaco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tito Chayo quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Nippur de Lagash 2 booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlad Pâslaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Casimiro Cordarell notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Strib Galacticos IF's Gunvald Glarkrog. Gunvald Glarkrog was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Strib Galacticos IF's Reinhard Duse was substituted for Davide Ubriaco. Casimiro Cordarell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gunvald Glarkrog having to make a save. A wasted opportunity for Nippur de Lagash 2. When Hagbard Ribov fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Strib Galacticos IF's protests and gave Hagbard Ribov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd match minute, Strib Galacticos IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hagbard Ribov to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, Andres Oper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Tito Chayo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Strib Galacticos IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Strib Galacticos IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
