After a rather tough play, Hartlepool's Isac Bålström got a free kick in the 7th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Flodde CFC's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Jansson came free, but Börje Holmgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Börje Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Jansson in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Charlie Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Holmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthon Nordin in the 22nd minute of play forced Hartlepool's goalkeeper Åke Stål to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Jansson in the 24th minute of play forced Flodde CFC's goalkeeper Börje Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonides Ospetsu during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bengt Blixt ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Flodde CFC booed when Hartlepool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bosse Blond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stefan Nyström struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Åke Stål didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flodde CFC. Åke Stål took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stevie Méthot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Víktor Muli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stig-Ove Britz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Åke Stål tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthon Nordin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt Blixt might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Börje Holmgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bengt Blixt ran back to his position shaking his head. When Hartlepool's Bengt Blixt in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 75th minute, Tomas Tapper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match Stefan Nyström shot from a long distance. Börje Holmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 88 minutes into the game, Hartlepool's Hasan Hüseyin Orak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Börje Holmgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Åke Stål showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Muli in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Ture Sandström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
