Åke Stål stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Erik Källberg's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Fredriksson in the 10th minute of play forced Hartlepool's goalkeeper Åke Stål to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Unesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Jansson in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Per-Oskar Kilberg hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Jens-Erik Källberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Per-Erik Tunberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Stål saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Per-Erik Tunberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brandbergen Bears's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Erik Tunberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Åke Stål breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jens-Erik Källberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Stål having to interfere. Åke Stål took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Erik Källberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hartlepool's Åke Stål played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Erik Källberg in the 28th minute of play. Karl-Axel Hylander hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Dennis Unesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Blixt in the 33rd minute of the match. Dennis Unesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Blixt, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With 42 minutes on the clock, Torsten Bålström commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Hartlepool booed when Brandbergen Bears was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Bålström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens-Erik Källberg to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Albert Nord shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Stål saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens-Erik Källberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Åke Stål tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hasan Hüseyin Orak in the 65th minute of play forced Brandbergen Bears's goalkeeper Dennis Unesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Bengt Blixt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Brandbergen Bears's goal looked a bit too open when Hasan Hüseyin Orak came free, but Dennis Unesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Hartlepool got a corner. Brandbergen Bears's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
