Iwan Wykowski's late challenge caught a CF JABATOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL. Nando Muslera went to the wrong direction when Maximo Gomesano was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Wiktor Basinski managed to get in a good position for a shot. VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiktor Basinski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venancio Bihar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
