Ugo Fantozzi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abelardo Janpier. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 8 minutes, Todd Gronow made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Birmingham Railers FC's Betinho de Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Birmingham Railers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Todd Gronow came free, but Betinho de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Birmingham Railers FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Önder Aksakal hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Todd Gronow sped through Birmingham Railers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Betinho de Azevedo. 29 minutes into the match, Birmingham Railers FC's goalkeeper Betinho de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Todd Gronow. Betinho de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Todd Gronow in the 30th minute. Abelardo Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Alagoano in the 34th minute of play. Todd Gronow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho de Azevedo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Gronow in the 39th minute of play forced Birmingham Railers FC's goalkeeper Betinho de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anakoz Amer in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Janpier saved Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC from getting behind. In the 44th minute, Todd Gronow made a precise shot to the right of Betinho de Azevedo. Birmingham Railers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Wen Yin Zhen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Abelardo Janpier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Todd Gronow stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Janpier came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Birmingham Railers FC's Önder Aksakal. But to his dismay, Önder Aksakal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The throw-in from Jacek Bartocha in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Hipolito Nafarroa. The referee gave Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Todd Gronow, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Birmingham Railers FC's Betinho de Azevedo. 4-1. Todd Gronow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Betinho de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Gronow in the 62nd minute of play. Abelardo Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anakoz Amer in the 64th minute of play. In the 75th minute Wen Yin Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Janpier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Janpier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Kingisepp in the 77th minute of the match. Todd Gronow blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Betinho de Azevedo having to make a save. Betinho de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Gronow, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wen Yin Zhen in the 87th minute of play forced Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Birmingham Railers FC defense, Todd Gronow kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betinho de Azevedo. The Birmingham Railers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betinho de Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Mariusz Ratulowski was substituted for Todd Gronow. Mariusz Ratulowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Betinho de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Ratulowski in the 95th minute of play. Olaf Kingisepp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Abelardo Janpier made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Birmingham Railers FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC.
