After a rather tough play, Motta Futebol Clube's Freddie Vennerberg got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Válbson de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. Motta Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lorenzo Mesanović ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's Aníbal Berger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo from getting a goal against them. Aírton de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Baumer in the 87th minute of play. Motta Futebol Clube's Xie Ao got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Válbson de Alcântara hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
