Danny Pasquier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Arantes in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Clóvis Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Pasquier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kléber Paiva made a great header on Bezerros EC's corner, it was just that Avel Vat's Danny Pasquier managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Alex Arantes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danny Pasquier was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Émilien Tessier kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Bezerros EC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Youri Djorkaeff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Youri Djorkaeff hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. When Bilal Moutte fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avel Vat's protests and gave Bilal Moutte a yellow card for diving instead. After a long run with the ball, Kléber Paiva did a trick in the 53rd minute in front of Avel Vat's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 0-6. An impressive performance by Bezerros EC's Kléber Paiva! After 62 played minutes Bezerros EC got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Valladares. 64 minutes into the match, Bezerros EC's goal looked a bit too open when Youri Djorkaeff came free, but Luiz Fernando Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Camargo in the 67th minute of play forced Avel Vat's goalkeeper Danny Pasquier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Marco Nugues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avel Vat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Nugues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bezerros EC's Donato Ceresso got a free kick in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Clóvis Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bezerros EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clóvis Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Pasquier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvério Valladares hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Clóvis Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Claudinho do Vale could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Danny Pasquier however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Avel Vat's Edmond Kubiak got a free kick in the 88th minute. Kléber Paiva struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Danny Pasquier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bezerros EC. 92 minutes into the match, Youri Djorkaeff notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Bezerros EC's Luiz Fernando Peixoto. Luiz Fernando Peixoto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Danny Pasquier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bezerros EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
