An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho dos Santos in the 22nd minute of play forced La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Jolan Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jolan Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Trancoso in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Thellier in the 77th minute of play forced Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Acácio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes Club Athletico Paulistano got a freekick which was hit by Haakon Brøndsel. After a defensive mix-up in Club Athletico Paulistano's zone, Josué Pagueguy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Acácio Lara came out of the goal and Josué Pagueguy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Pelé kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, La Pointe Courte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Laisney to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Pointe Courte walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
