Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Jakobe to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Viola Invest's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho dos Santos came free, but Dumitru Doloman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Viola Invest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dumitru Doloman should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute Fabinho dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Doloman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fabinho dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Club Athletico Paulistano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabinho dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Mario Jakobe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Acácio Lara made a huge save. Dumitru Doloman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After 92 played minutes Viola Invest got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Su. Viola Invest's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
