BELGRANO's goalkeeper Martin Rito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Aparecido. BELGRANO's Martin Rito got control of the ball when Fulvio Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Rito was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Fulvio Maria capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fulvio Maria really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, C. A. BELGRANO's goal looked a bit too open when Toto Mansilla came free, but Martin Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Eladio came free, but Julio Garay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Eladio in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Garay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horácio Aparecido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Rito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Gustavo Eladio might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Garay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Eladio ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Garay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Eladio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Martinovic in the 61st minute of play. Martin Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Baraquiel in the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Gustavo Eladio managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. BELGRANO's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Eladio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Garay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaime Alfonso came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Garay could save by the left post. When Onur Ali Cespan came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the C. A. BELGRANO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onur Ali Cespan couldn't finish the play. After having played for 93 minutes, Onur Ali Cespan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. BELGRANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Onur Ali Cespan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rosario Central's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
