The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ryszard Ligas might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ladislav Telepovský. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryszard Ligas ran back to his position shaking his head. Ladislav Telepovský showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszko Borowski in the 6th minute of the match. Zbyszko Borowski took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ladislav Telepovský. Ladislav Telepovský dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ryszard Ligas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislav Telepovský having to interfere. Ladislav Telepovský made an important save on a dangerous shot by Krzysztof Bator in the 11th minute. ◄19A10►Brunsberga's Ziemowit Lemiesz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Ribeiro in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute Zbyszko Borowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislav Telepovský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zbyszko Borowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Ladislav Telepovský made a huge save. Zbyszko Borowski in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ladislav Telepovský, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Grêmio Santo André defense, Zbyszko Borowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ladislav Telepovský. The Grêmio Santo André fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ladislav Telepovský should have stopped the shot. Ladislav Telepovský showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Ligas in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Ryszard Ligas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ladislav Telepovský, passed just outside the right post. If Ryszard Ligas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, ◄19A10►Brunsberga's Krzysztof Bator sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ladislav Telepovský narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But to his dismay, Krzysztof Bator quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Zbyszko Borowskis short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Ladislav Telepovský to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Krzysztof Bator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislav Telepovský having to interfere. The supporters of Grêmio Santo André booed when ◄19A10►Brunsberga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbyszko Duszenski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmacio Vermudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernani Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ziemowit Lemiesz having to interfere. In the 52nd minute, Dalmacio Vermudo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ladislav Telepovský showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszko Borowski in the 54th minute of the match. Ladislav Telepovský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Borowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
