Pedro Villalaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Villalaz in the 8th minute of play forced AD FAFE's goalkeeper Filomeno Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, ORION F.C.'s Filomeno Santana threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pedro Villalaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Pedro Villalaz came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the ORION F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Villalaz couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the ORION F.C. defense, Jacinto Ponte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dadhyan Rudrappa. The ORION F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dadhyan Rudrappa should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrés Mendieta got free with Filomeno Santana in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, Dé Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filomeno Santana. AD FAFE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dé Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 42nd match minute, AD FAFE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick van Goetsenhoven to maneuver through the defense. Samuele Neustadt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Filomeno Santana made a huge save. After 47 minutes of play, ORION F.C.'s Pedro Villalaz made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filomeno Santana was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jacinto Ponte made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Villalaz in the 51st minute of play forced AD FAFE's goalkeeper Filomeno Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th match minute, ORION F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuele Neustadt to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Ponte in the 56th minute of play forced ORION F.C.'s goalkeeper Dadhyan Rudrappa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Noel Regueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadhyan Rudrappa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filomeno Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Villalaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute Noel Regueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadhyan Rudrappa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Villalaz in the 77th minute of play forced AD FAFE's goalkeeper Filomeno Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filomeno Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Villalaz's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Filomeno Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Villalaz in the 80th minute of play. Filomeno Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Villalaz in the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, AD FAFE's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Santos came free, but Filomeno Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Villalaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Rocastle kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Filomeno Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Villalaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ORION F.C. had won after a very even match.
