After a rather tough play, Voskresensk FC's Roman Doronin got a free kick in the 9th minute. After having played for 12 minutes, Lucas Alario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Alario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Alario might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Akinfeev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucas Alario ran back to his position shaking his head. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Severo Elequemedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evgeniy Fomichev in the 16th minute of play. Severo Elequemedo was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Evgeniy Fomichev capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Evgeniy Fomichev really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Lucas Alario got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute Fedor Ivanchuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match Voskresensk FC got a corner. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gu Xuan Xiong ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 31st minute Voskresensk FC were awarded a corner. Gu Xuan Xiong went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Voskresensk FC's Gu Xuan Xiong to fire away a dangerous shot which Severo Elequemedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 32nd minute Lucas Alario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Akinfeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ildefonso Aritza charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's goal looked a bit too open when Fedor Ivanchuk came free, but Severo Elequemedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruhi Ongay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Igor Akinfeev. Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The audience was convinced that Vladimir Safarov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severo Elequemedo was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Lucas Alario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Igor Akinfeev made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Voskresensk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Alario came free, but Igor Akinfeev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severo Elequemedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gleb Sorokin's shot from short distance in the 59th minute.
