Topsail's Bill Carmichael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Sotta in the 16th minute of play. Bill Carmichael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Erserman in the 18th minute of the match. After 28 minutes Topsail's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tobías Izamit who took care of the corner kick. Bill Carmichael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Erserman in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mevlüt Naşit made a kick off. Bill Carmichael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickard Erserman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, one of Topsail:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Topsail. Anton Björnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Fernández, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Fernández in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bill Carmichael narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play, Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bill Carmichael was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo was substituted for Rickard Erserman. 67 minutes into the match, Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eladio Araujo. Topsail's Bill Carmichael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Araujo in the 69th minute of play. Bill Carmichael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eladio Araujo in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Inter de Chillán were awarded a corner. Tobías Izamit went to the cornerflag to take it. Bill Carmichael came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo. But to his dismay, Eladio Araujo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Topsail's Bill Carmichael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Araujo in the 88th minute of play. Eladio Araujo took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bill Carmichael. Bill Carmichael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mevlüt Naşit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bill Carmichael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eladio Araujo in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Alfonso Sotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
