With an all-out effort, Inter de Chillán's Torgeir Phan threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rickard Erserman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 16th minute, Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 19th minute, Tobías Izamit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Mota 2017 were awarded a corner. Léo Lopes went to the cornerflag to take it. Nilmar Martins made a great header on Mota 2017's corner, it was just that Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 26th minute Roger Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rickard Erserman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rickard Erserman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torgeir Phan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Florencio Jax got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Torgeir Phan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mota 2017's Torgeir Phan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Mota 2017 from getting a goal against them. Cauan de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Mota 2017 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger Couto to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Rickard Erserman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Torgeir Phan. Mota 2017's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rickard Erserman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Rickard Erserman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torgeir Phan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Mota 2017's Torgeir Phan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Erserman in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eladio Araujo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torgeir Phan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anton Björnberg made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Roger Couto sent off a good shot on target. Torgeir Phan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eladio Araujo in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Eladio Araujo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mota 2017's Genaro Calisto was substituted for Gualter de Lara. Mota 2017 made a substitution. Danilo Baiano replaced Maicon Fonseca. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mota 2017's goalkeeper Torgeir Phan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anton Björnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Nascimento came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Mota 2017's goal looked a bit too open when Eladio Araujo came free, but Torgeir Phan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Sebastião Nascimento notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg. Anton Björnberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Inter de Chillán's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
