Celso Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Mansilha in the 5th minute of play. In the 5th minute Academica Pulheim were awarded a corner. Alex Mansilha went to the cornerflag to take it. Futebol Espinhel's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Kurt Ahrem scored to the left of an out of position Celso Vasconcelos, making the score, 1-0. Kurt Ahrem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Celso Vasconcelos made a huge save. Celso Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Kretschmer in the 16th minute of play. Kurt Ahrem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Celso Vasconcelos made a huge save. Celso Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Mansilha in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Futebol Espinhel's zone, Kurt Ahrem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Kurt Ahrem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Mansilha in the 28th minute of play forced Futebol Espinhel's goalkeeper Celso Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Alex Mansilha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academica Pulheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Mansilha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Futebol Espinhel's Celso Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Mansilha in the 35th minute of play. Celso Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Ahrem in the 36th minute of play. Paul Heyckendorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radoslaw Zukowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Ahrem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Celso Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Heyckendorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Ahrem got free with Celso Vasconcelos in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Velasques was the one to do the kick off. Celso Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lutz Golke in the 52nd minute of the match. Lutz Golke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Futebol Espinhel's zone, Kurt Ahrem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Kurt Ahrem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celso Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Mansilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Humberto Velasques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Paul Heyckendorf made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Maxime Vrints notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Futebol Espinhel's Celso Vasconcelos. Celso Vasconcelos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Roberto Seppmann replaced Reinhard Baum. After 71 minutes, Hermes Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Futebol Espinhel and the Academica Pulheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hermes Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute Germano Borba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Mansilha in the 76th minute of play forced Futebol Espinhel's goalkeeper Celso Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Maxime Vrints ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celso Vasconcelos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Alex Mansilha scored 4-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Vasconcelos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 89 played minutes Futebol Espinhel got a freekick which was hit by Germano Borba. Celso Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Academica Pulheim's Maxime Vrints. But to his dismay, Maxime Vrints quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After some careless play in the Futebol Espinhel defense, Maxime Vrints kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Vasconcelos. The Futebol Espinhel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Vasconcelos should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Academica Pulheim had won after a very even match.
