Celso Vasconcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Malbec in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Futebol Espinhel's goalkeeper Celso Vasconcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Don Malbec. Charlotte FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kaja Jamak in the 15th minute. Bryant Miles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Borba in the 20th minute of the match. Juliano Campelo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Bryant Miles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Rocha in the 25th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Velasques in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryant Miles saved Charlotte FC from getting behind. After 28 minutes Charlotte FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Radoslaw Zukowski who took care of the corner kick. Radoslaw Zukowski made a great header on Futebol Espinhel's corner, it was just that Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radoslaw Zukowski in the 59th minute of play forced Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Bryant Miles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Radoslaw Zukowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant Miles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Felix Dias fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charlotte FC's protests and gave Felix Dias a yellow card for diving instead. Charlotte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Rafferty was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Rafferty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celso Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Rafferty, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
