An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Seco in the 8th minute of play forced Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabien Barthez came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by INTER FC's Marco Seco. But to his dismay, Marco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. INTER FC's Leon Kosmatka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper Delamore in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute Egg Chasers FC were awarded a corner. Rex Wall went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Alex Barone heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Leon Kosmatka made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Peter Crouch sent off a good shot on target. If Marco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabien Barthez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Alex Barone's late challenge caught a INTER FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Barone helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of INTER FC booed when Egg Chasers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Barone didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goalkeeper Leon Kosmatka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthew Brookman. Leon Kosmatka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Brookman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 minutes, Rafael Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTER FC and the Egg Chasers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Egg Chasers FC booed when INTER FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Valverde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jasper Delamore made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Emerson Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTER FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leon Kosmatka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Crouch in the 59th minute of the match. Leon Kosmatka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Brookman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. INTER FC's Leon Kosmatka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rex Attenborough in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Delamore came free, but Leon Kosmatka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabien Barthez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Seco in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Brookman in the 66th minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Leon Kosmatka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Emerson Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. INTER FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabien Barthez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. INTER FC made a substitution. Hortêncio Linhares replaced Marco Seco. Léo Trigo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind INTER FC's goalkeeper Leon Kosmatka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When INTER FC's Hortêncio Linhares in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Egg Chasers FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th minute, Alex Barone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hortêncio Linhares came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fabien Barthez could save by the left post. Peter Crouch struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Leon Kosmatka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egg Chasers FC. Leon Kosmatka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Brookman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Egg Chasers FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
