Vilmantas Matulas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 11 played minutes FC Žalia Giria got a freekick which was hit by Ramūnas Lipskis. 12 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Nordlander came free, but Vilmantas Matulas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Vilmantas Matulas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Žalia Giria's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joachim Lindgren was slow to take the kick. During this time Vallentuna Kickers's players had a chance to rest. Vilmantas Matulas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Nordlander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vallentuna Kickers's Börge Hybbert got a free kick in the 21st minute. Gunnar Nordlander might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vilmantas Matulas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gunnar Nordlander ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Utter during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute Saúl Gentiletti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Li Han saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Vilmantas Matulas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dovydas Varnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Li Han tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Žalia Giria made a substitution. Jack Grealish replaced Vytautas Petkus. Astijus Orbakas hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Jack Grealish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Gunnar Nordlander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saúl Gentiletti was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, FC Žalia Giria's Saúl Gentiletti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Li Han made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Saúl Gentiletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute Torbjörn Tingberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilmantas Matulas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th play minute Torbjörn Tingberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vilmantas Matulas. 1-2. FC Žalia Giria were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Vallentuna Kickers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Avram Lupoaia took the corner. Jack Grealish was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 65 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Vilmantas Matulas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gunnar Nordlander. In the 65th minute, Vallentuna Kickers's Torbjörn Tingberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. FC Žalia Giria's Augustinas Baltramaitis was substituted for Saúl Gentiletti. FC Žalia Giria's Algitas Kimbartas was substituted for Dovydas Varnas. Vallentuna Kickers's Li Han played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Grealish in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augustinas Baltramaitis in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Li Han saved Vallentuna Kickers from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's Ramūnas Lipskis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Li Han narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Vallentuna Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Dalberg. After a rather tough play, Vallentuna Kickers's Torbjörn Tingberg got a free kick in the 77th minute. Gunnar Nordlander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilmantas Matulas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Vilmantas Matulas made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Gunnar Nordlander sent off a good shot on target. Vilmantas Matulas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjörn Tingberg in the 89th minute of the match. Li Han made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Grealish in the 91st minute of play. The Vallentuna Kickers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
