In the 25th match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Peter to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Juan Fernando Quinteros had to leave the field with a concussion. Stellenbosch's Fidel Martxelin was substituted for Juan Fernando Quinteros. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The corner led Club Sacode Football CIMZ's Zlatko Kiš to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Pelayo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Xi Zhen in the 99th minute of play forced Stellenbosch's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Club Sacode Football CIMZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Stellenbosch's performance. The match ended with a win for Stellenbosch.
