After taking down the ball on DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's corner Erik Huang fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dino Zoff quite easily take care of the ball. Marcel Vulpe kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Cormoranii -MM-'s Dino Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Burrell in the 18th minute of play. Baykan Erincer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Paul in the 23rd minute of play. Akakios Kountouratzis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Dino Zoff made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Paul in the 46th minute of play forced DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goalkeeper Baykan Erincer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramiro Paul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Erik Huang hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes Marcel Vulpe scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Baykan Erincer who was too lazy, 0-1. In the 64th minute Garth Burrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Akakios Kountouratzis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akakios Kountouratzis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Kazimierz Traczewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Zoff was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Akakios Kountouratzis got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
