Bernardo Novaes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baykan Erincer having to make a save. With a little luck, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Baykan Erincer got control of the ball when Bernardo Novaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomáš Houdek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Burrell in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kazimierz Traczewski was the one to do the kick off. Akakios Kountouratzis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Novaes in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baykan Erincer saved DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO from getting behind. Baykan Erincer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Novaes's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. When Rod West came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rod West couldn't finish the play. The Lex Academy players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
