Roberto Perfumo helped the player get up and apologised. Edvin Vennerberg took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Zoff. Dino Zoff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 18 minutes into the game, Ramiro Paul cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Justin Abril was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dino Zoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevinn De Bruyne in the 20th minute of the match. Nils-Åke Nyström hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Edvin Vennerberg came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the UE Cornella fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvin Vennerberg couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Cormoranii -MM- defense, Kevinn De Bruyne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dino Zoff. The Cormoranii -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dino Zoff should have stopped the shot. A collision led to UE Cornella getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Rauf Uçanok hit a great ball. In the 34th match minute, UE Cornella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Viator to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Panaitescu in the 35th minute of play forced UE Cornella's goalkeeper Justin Abril to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Costel Diaconu hit a great ball. UE Cornella's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
