Fu Lin succeeded in the game's 8th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Maximilian Henning managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximilian Henning was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Søren Valen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fu Lin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geir-Inge Skulstad in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute Vegard Bruvoll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fu Lin got free with August Hoffmanns in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joachim Engelund was slow to take the kick. During this time Oslo City FC's players had a chance to rest. A hard shot 28 in the game by Vegard Bruvoll from a close distance when the talented August Hoffmanns managed to make a qualified save. Rot-Weiss-Essen's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice moves Fu Lin could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which August Hoffmanns however easily saved by the left post. The corner ended in Joachim Engelund almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Rot-Weiss-Essen's zone, Fu Lin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal and Fu Lin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fu Lin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but August Hoffmanns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Fu Lins short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got August Hoffmanns to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fu Lin in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of August Hoffmanns, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 39 minutes into the match, Oslo City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kotsopoulos came free, but Søren Valen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Anestis Kotsopoulos made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Rot-Weiss-Essen booed when Oslo City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Engelund didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Kryspin Banach got a free kick in the 54th minute. August Hoffmanns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fu Lin's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joachim Engelund was slow to take the kick. During this time Oslo City FC's players had a chance to rest. 3-0 became the score in the 63rd minute when Fu Lin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fu Lin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. August Hoffmanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Geir-Inge Skulstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anestis Kotsopoulos got free with Søren Valen in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vegard Bruvoll in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Anestis Kotsopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Søren Valen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fu Lin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hoffmanns was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fu Lin in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hoffmanns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 played minutes Oslo City FC got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Øksendal. The long shot by Maximilian Henning in the 86th minute really tested Søren Valen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 92 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hugo Haupt made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Søren Valen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximilian Henning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Søren Valen having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Oslo City FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Rot-Weiss-Essen for much of the match.
