The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Acácio Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the game, Inácio Vasconcelos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matadores FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Batán the free kick. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Matadores FC! Erivaldo Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Nogueira in the 21st minute of play forced Matadores FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Acácio Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Batán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Acácio Nogueira in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aloísio Abreu saved Matadores FC from getting behind. When Acácio Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the AC Batán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Nogueira couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Matadores FC's Aloísio Abreu got control of the ball when Konrad Wielkopolski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Acácio Nogueira scored 4-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aloísio Abreu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aloísio Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Nogueira in the 41st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Gong Feng got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aloísio Abreu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Acácio Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aloísio Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Acácio Nogueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aloísio Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Nogueira in the 83rd minute of play forced Matadores FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Abreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Acácio Nogueira went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. AC Batán made a substitution. Cristoforo Di Ruscio replaced José Carlos da Silveira. AC Batán's Cido Cardozo was substituted for Acácio Nogueira. AC Batán's Cristo Serapio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Horácio Zanette, made in the 90th minute of the game. If Cido Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute Cido Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 minutes of play, AC Batán's Cido Cardozo made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aloísio Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Cido Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the AC Batán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cido Cardozo couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AC Batán fans cheered their team off the field, for while Matadores FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
