Paz Ungo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateusz Cizeski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Przemyslaw Nowacki made in the 15th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Zygmunt Haskiewicz immediately put the ball in play. Jan Koller received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aureliusz Tomiczek came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan Koller slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
