A collision led to S S Palestra Italia getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nestor Bernal hit a great ball. S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gust Mathijs in the 15th minute of play. Jarbas Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gust Mathijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oso Prato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Moura in the 22nd minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for S S Palestra Italia! S S Palestra Italia:s Jarbas Guedes showed great skill when he stopped Paata Gagnidze:s penalty. Paata Gagnidze did an outstanding performance 28 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-2 to the right of an irritated Jarbas Guedes in the goal. In the 33rd minute ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ were awarded a corner. Paata Gagnidze went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's corner Aurelio Cebrian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jarbas Guedes quite easily take care of the ball. When Efrain Incendio came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Incendio couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efrain Incendio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Efrain Incendio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarbas Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, S S Palestra Italia's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Incendio came free, but Jarbas Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Bernal hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Efrain Incendio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jarbas Guedes came out and tried to block the shot, but Efrain Incendio slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 60th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of S S Palestra Italia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ:s goal. After 70 minutes, Desiderio Oinaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ and the S S Palestra Italia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Oinaz. In the 73rd minute, ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Luis Rius ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jarbas Guedes. Jarbas Guedes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Luis Rius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save S S Palestra Italia from getting a goal against them. ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Rodolfo Jenaro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Serafim Hermes in the 78 minute of the game. Luis Rius might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarbas Guedes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Rius ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes got control of the ball when Luis Rius tried to sneak it across the goal line. S S Palestra Italia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Luis Rius scored to the left of an out of position Jarbas Guedes, making the score, 0-6. 88 minutes into the game, Serafim Hermes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S S Palestra Italia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ the free kick. After a rather tough play, S S Palestra Italia's Serafim Hermes got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Luis Rius notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes. Jarbas Guedes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ's Luis Rius, in the 92nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for ľƼ-6-ľȜ ♆ ƬЄ ƢƲЄƦЄƧ MƛƬƛƦ. Luis Riuss short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Jarbas Guedes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
