The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Psiu! booed when Sporting Royal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Borza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Psiu!'s José Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Panciu in the 5th minute of play. If Rony Dudu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgil Panciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Panciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Virgil Panciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Dziedelonis kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Virgil Panciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Munhoz having to interfere. Leontin Ilieș made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Jerônimo Dantas sent off a good shot on target. If Virgil Panciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rony Dudu in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Munhoz saved Psiu! from getting behind. When Rony Dudu came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Sporting Royal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Dudu couldn't finish the play. José Munhoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Dudu in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Sporting Royal were awarded a corner. Rony Dudu went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Sporting Royal's Octavian Gherasescu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Psiu!'s Deilmison Robben sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leontin Ilieș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. José Munhoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgil Panciu's shot from short distance in the 44th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rony Dudu was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Rony Dudu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Munhoz. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 53rdth minute of the game Rony Dudu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Psiu!'s José Munhoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Munhoz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octavian Gherasescu in the 55th minute. After 56 minutes Psiu!'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rony Dudu who took care of the corner kick. José Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Dudu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Sporting Royal's José Munhoz threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Virgil Panciu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 63 minutes into the match, Psiu!'s goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Gherasescu came free, but José Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leontin Ilieș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison Robben, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Sporting Royal made a substitution. Ionică Predescu replaced Dorin Borza. Psiu!'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chico Santana in the 69th minute. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Anderson Ortiz put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Leontin Ilieș. Octavian Gherasescus short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got José Munhoz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 76th minute, Virgil Panciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th match minute, Psiu! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Psiu! booed when Sporting Royal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavian Gherasescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Sporting Royal getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Octavian Gherasescu hit a great ball. After 91 minutes, Rony Dudu made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Psiu!'s José Munhoz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. José Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Dudu in the 95th minute of play. The Sporting Royal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
