Hadi Özilhan charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hadi Özilhan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute Rob Van den Berch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karol Ruszkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Vilas Boas in the 17th minute of play forced Zgierskie Zlewy's goalkeeper Karol Ruszkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Benficajuvestars booed when Zgierskie Zlewy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spiridon Peychev didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerry Nykvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Zdzislaw Moczkiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Rui Patrício was left in no man's land by his defense there! 70 minutes into the match, Benficajuvestars's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Doicaru came free, but Rui Patrício reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 played minutes Zgierskie Zlewy got a freekick which was hit by Seyhun Zati. Zgierskie Zlewy's Dobromir Rukszcz was substituted for Norbert Podowski. The supporters of Benficajuvestars booed when Zgierskie Zlewy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seyhun Zati didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Patrício took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Doicaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Benficajuvestars defense, Rolf King kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui Patrício. The Benficajuvestars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Patrício should have stopped the shot. Zgierskie Zlewy's Karol Ruszkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Zgierskie Zlewy from getting a goal against them. Rui Patrício showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliusz Kosakowski in the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Benficajuvestars's Zacarias Vilar got a free kick in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Benficajuvestars players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zgierskie Zlewy.
