An unexpectedly hard shot by Donzel Goyeneta in the 8th minute of play forced -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goalkeeper Iulian Nisipeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanasis Koltsidas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iulian Lipan in the 10th minute of the match. AEK S.C's Konstantinos Kouventolakis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gelu Brăescu, made in the 11th minute of the game. Iulian Nisipeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donzel Goyeneta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When AEK S.C's Jelte Bleiswijk in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. AEK S.C's João Francisco de Andrade managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gelu Brăescu in the 44 minute of the game. AEK S.C's Konstantinos Kouventolakis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gelu Brăescu, made in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jelte Bleiswijk made a kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Jelte Bleiswijk sped through -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iulian Nisipeanu. A collision led to -BZF- Viitorul Buzau getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gelu Brăescu hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, AEK S.C's Jelte Bleiswijk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iulian Nisipeanu. Iulian Nisipeanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 65th match minute, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Brăescu to maneuver through the defense. Iulian Nisipeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donzel Goyeneta in the 69th minute of the match. Kevin Carreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iulian Nisipeanu having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as João Francisco de Andrade kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iulian Nisipeanu. That made the score 0-6 in the 73 minute of play. Jelte Bleiswijk kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Jelte Bleiswijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jelte Bleiswijk in the 78th minute of play forced -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goalkeeper Iulian Nisipeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Horia Răducanu got a free kick in the 80th minute. Jelte Bleiswijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iulian Nisipeanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jelte Bleiswijk went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, João Francisco de Andrade took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Iulian Nisipeanu to make any attempt to save it. 92 minutes into the match, Kevin Carreira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iulian Nisipeanu, 0-9. 96 minutes into the match, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goalkeeper Iulian Nisipeanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jelte Bleiswijk. AEK S.C played a much better game than -BZF- Viitorul Buzau and deserved their victory. The -BZF- Viitorul Buzau players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
