In the 69th minute of the match Jürgen Ligier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mieszko Bierfass skillfully saved the ball. When Generoso Sandaili fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. With an all-out effort, san isidro's Raúl da Silveira threw himself towards the right post 98 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gösta Kihlberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FIEL ALGUSTA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
