In the 14th minute, Thor Ståhlberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pavlos Fotiadis. The goal made the score 1-0. A collision led to Cyprus Eagles AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Makis Garpozis hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Cyprus Eagles AFC's goalkeeper Pavlos Fotiadis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Eduardo Xavier. Bergandy's Franco Di Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonidas Stathis in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bergandy's Franco Di Massa. Franco Di Massa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cyprus Eagles AFC's Pavlos Fotiadis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Cyprus Eagles AFC from getting a goal against them. Pavlos Fotiadis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thor Ståhlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 played minutes Cyprus Eagles AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Pathekas. Pavlos Fotiadis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Eduardo Xavier in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cyprus Eagles AFC's zone, Luiz Eduardo Xavier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavlos Fotiadis came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Xavier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Bergandy booed when Cyprus Eagles AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orestis Kostaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cyprus Eagles AFC's Nontas Markas in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nontas Markas was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Di Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavlos Fotiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thor Ståhlberg in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Nontas Markas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cyprus Eagles AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nontas Markas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 70 minutes Cyprus Eagles AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven Granberg who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Bergandy's Jack Eklund getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Ingvar Molander put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pavlos Fotiadis. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cyprus Eagles AFC's goalkeeper Pavlos Fotiadis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
