Luiz Eduardo Tróia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sylwester Chazon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lionel-Andrés Messi got free with Leandro Neves in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Pretoria Gostyń defense, Luiz Eduardo Tróia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sylwester Chazon. The Pretoria Gostyń fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sylwester Chazon should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Luiz Eduardo Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Sylwester Chazon made a huge save. Pretoria Gostyń's Tomás Clodio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Patryk Sikora in the 62 minute of the game. Leandro Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukasz Rekawiczka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caskinha Esporte Clube's Betinho de Sousa was substituted for Thor Vennerdal. In the 68th minute Pretoria Gostyń were awarded a corner. Lionel-Andrés Messi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Lukasz Rekawiczka almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Caskinha Esporte Clube's Leandro Neves did a great save. After some careless play in the Pretoria Gostyń defense, Iván Zamorano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sylwester Chazon. The Pretoria Gostyń fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sylwester Chazon should have stopped the shot. Iván Zamorano might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sylwester Chazon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iván Zamorano ran back to his position shaking his head. Iván Zamorano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sylwester Chazon having to make a save. 78 minutes into the match, Pretoria Gostyń's goalkeeper Sylwester Chazon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iván Zamorano. Caskinha Esporte Clube's Iván Zamorano suffered a sore thigh after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle.
