Sanchez Vagrande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateusz Rydel, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute of the match Alemannia Aachen got a corner. Fuerza Amarilla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lech Wawrukiewicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alemannia Aachen's Frans Baltzer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sanchez Vagrande in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 27 minutes into the game, Manfred Kottsieper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sanchez Vagrande was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Alemannia Aachen from getting a goal against them. Alemannia Aachen's Frans Baltzer managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Denis Hondraita in the 36 minute of the game. Denis Hondraita kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Vicente Vilas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fuerza Amarilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Vilas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 55th minute, Alemannia Aachen's Mateusz Rydel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sanchez Vagrande. Sanchez Vagrande yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. When Mateusz Rydel came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Alemannia Aachen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateusz Rydel couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's Mateusz Rydel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sanchez Vagrande narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Fuerza Amarilla's Sanchez Vagrande got control of the ball when Mateusz Rydel tried to sneak it across the goal line.
